Liverpool Curling was established in 1935 and plays a vital role in our community.
Throughout its history, Liverpool Curling – run exclusively by a volunteer Board of Directors – has been a hub for provincial competition, leagues, and social gatherings that bring together curlers of all skill levels and ages and community members.
Following the closure of the pulp mill in 2013, the economy in the area suffered in the years to follow, including Liverpool Curling. In 2015, the facility was on the verge of closing due to low membership numbers and the high costs to operate an aging building.
In 2021, a project was launched to modernize and renovate the Liverpool Curling facility. The results of this work have resulted in many improvements to the facility. With a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and accessibility, Liverpool Curling has been brought back to life, promising a bright and busy future, serving curlers and community members for the years to come.
